Teaching Artifacts
Goal:
By the end of this course, I will have implemented seven targeted, standards-aligned initiatives: leveraging AI-powered tools, project-based and work-based learning methodologies, and professional development frameworks to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the technical, collaborative, and real-world skills required for workforce readiness in software development. Through iterative reflection and data-driven assessment, I will curate these artifacts into a cohesive digital portfolio that demonstrates mastery of ISTE and CSTA competencies.
As a Software Development instructor, my mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry expectations. I do this by designing and facilitating project-based, AI-integrated, and standards-aligned learning experiences that prepare students for the workforce. Whether it’s building interactive apps with OpenAI APIs, creating responsive web portfolios, or hosting student-led events like Hack the Valley, my focus is on empowering learners to become creative, confident, and career-ready developers. I continuously assess and adapt instruction using data-driven insights while fostering equity, collaboration, and technical mastery aligned to CSTA and ISTE educator standards.
